Inviting Your Team
Roles & Permissions covers what each Workspace and Project role can do. This page covers actually getting people in.
Inviting a teammate
Section titled “Inviting a teammate”From a Workspace’s or Project’s Members page, click Invite member, enter their email, and pick a role. Pending invitations appear in a separate table and can be revoked any time before they’re accepted. A new user accepts by signing up or signing in with the invited email — no separate accept step, and no seat is consumed until they do.
Workspace invites vs. Project invites
Section titled “Workspace invites vs. Project invites”A Workspace invite gives someone access to the Workspace itself — billing visibility (for Admins), and the ability to be added to Projects. A Project invite grants a role on one specific Project, but requires the person to already be a Workspace member; if they aren’t, the Project members page links you to inviting them to the Workspace first.
Workspace Admins can manage Project members even without an Admin role on that particular Project — Workspace-level access always reaches down.
Seat limits
Section titled “Seat limits”Every accepted invite counts toward the Workspace’s seat limit. If a Workspace is at its seat cap, a pending invite can’t be accepted until a seat frees up or the limit is raised; the acceptance flow explains why when this happens.
Access banners
Section titled “Access banners”When your role limits what you can do on a page — read-only browsing, status changes but no content edits, and so on — a banner at the top explains exactly what you can and can’t do there, so it’s never a guessing game after an invite lands you in an unfamiliar role.
