Account & Navigation

Everything about how you move around ArtlessDev — account settings, billing, members, MCP, and display preferences — lives behind one entry point: your avatar at the bottom of the sidebar.

Click your name/avatar at the bottom of the sidebar to open account. It overlays the left navigation; Back (or Escape) returns you to browsing. While you’re on a destination like Billing or Members, the overlay stays open and highlights where you are.

  • Edit name — pencil icon next to your name; how you appear in member lists.
  • Help and docs — product docs at docs.artless.dev, in a new tab.
  • Take product tour — restart the guided setup walkthrough.
  • Billing — plan and usage, when you’re inside a Workspace (Workspace owners/admins manage plans).
  • What’s next — vote on upcoming capabilities; see What’s next below.
  • Activity log — a Workspace-wide audit trail, visible only to Workspace owners/admins; see Activity log below.
  • Feedback — the public feedback board, in a new tab.
  • Appearance — tap to unroll System, Light, or Dark in place.
  • Sign out.

At the top of the sidebar, the switcher shows your current Workspace or Project. Click it to jump to a different Workspace, pick a different Project within one, or go back to Your workspaces. If you belong to exactly one Workspace (or one Project inside it), ArtlessDev skips the picker and opens it directly — use the switcher to get back to the full list.

Inside a Workspace, Browse shows Projects. Inside a Project, Browse shows Explore, Features, and Scenarios — see Scenarios and Workspaces & Projects for what those are. Members, billing, MCP, and other settings live in account, not the main sidebar. On mobile, the top-left menu icon opens the sidebar as a drawer.

On desktop, Explore’s right-hand display panel controls which relationship axes render inline (Nested, Chained, Cross-cutting — see Scenario Relationships), badge coloring, and whether evidence and drift sections default open or collapsed. Remember settings can persist your choices per Project, per Workspace, or globally, stored on your device.

Open Activity log from account (avatar → Workspace → Activity log) for a Workspace-wide audit trail — members invited, removed, or having their role changed; Projects created or renamed; Places created, merged, or deleted; subscription changes; and similar administrative events — filterable by Project. Only Workspace owners and admins can view it. This is separate from a Scenario’s own Activity history (see Managing Status), which logs both axes’ status changes and content edits on one Scenario rather than Workspace-wide administrative events.

What’s next (avatar → Workspace → What’s next) lists capabilities we’re considering. Click I want this on a card to vote, and click again to withdraw it; counts update immediately, and votes are stored on your device. Broader ideas go on the Feedback board linked from the same page.

The sidebar footer shows your current plan badge — click it to open Billing directly — see Plans & Billing.
